Personal-CFO thinking on wealth

Wealth, thought through.

One person looking at your whole financial picture. Investments, tax, risk and goals handled as a single plan instead of five separate products. Fee-only, and education first.

A principle

Most affluent families have a CA, a broker, an insurance agent and a banker. Nobody is looking at the whole board. That gap is where wealth quietly leaks.

This site exists to make the personal-CFO way of thinking useful to you, even if you never consider working with anyone.

The approach

You don't have an investing problem. You have a CFO problem.

I plan your whole picture, guide every move, and remind you when to act. Fee-only, and aligned only with you. That is the whole thesis.

I plan the whole picture

Investments, tax, risk, insurance and goals mapped into one roadmap, with a clear order of what to do first.

I guide every move

For each step you get the how. Which account, what to do, what to watch for. No jargon and no guesswork.

I remind you, so nothing slips

Rebalances, renewals, deadlines, new money to put to work. I watch the calendar and tell you in time. You execute in minutes.

The six parts

The frameworks that make everything else easier.

The six parts of a wealthy family's financial life, and the questions worth asking about each one before you buy anything.

Financial Planning

Your life goals, costed and dated. What does "enough" look like, and by when?

Investment Strategy

Not "which fund." The question is: is your allocation aligned with your goals and your risk capacity?

Insurance & Protection

Why mixing insurance with investment is the most expensive convenience in finance.

Tax-Aware Investing

Structure beats hacks. The rules for LTCG, set-off, arbitrage, and where they change your after-tax return.

Whole-Balance-Sheet View

Assets minus liabilities is a start. Liquidity, tax basis and concentration are the real picture.

Retirement Number

How much you actually need. Adjusted for inflation, safe to draw down, and honest about how long you might live.

How I work

There are three parts to the job.

You could do most of this yourself. Time is the thing you are actually short of. So I have split the work so that only the last part needs you, and only for a few minutes at a time.

I plan it

Your full picture goes into one roadmap. Investments, goals, cash flow, risk, insurance, and the tax that sits on your investments. It comes with an order: what to do first, what can wait. You end up holding a document rather than trying to remember a conversation.

I guide it

For every move on that roadmap you get the how. Which account, what steps, what to watch out for. No jargon and no guesswork. You act with confidence because the thinking is already done.

I remind you

Tax deadlines. Rebalance windows. Renewals. Money sitting idle. I watch the calendar and tell you when something is due. You execute in minutes, and nothing slips through.

What you actually get

I can’t show you returns. So here is the work.

A return figure on its own tells you very little. Strip out the risk that was taken, the period it covers and the portfolio behind it, and what is left is advertising. Indian rules keep advisers away from it, and they are right to. What I can show you is the work, so here it is.

  • The planA written financial plan. Goals costed and dated, allocation, protection, liquidity, and the tax on your investments. It tells you what to do first.
  • The dashboardA private view of your whole balance sheet that stays current. Holdings, goals, liabilities, coverage, cash flow. You log in whenever you want. It is not a PDF that goes stale the day it is sent.
  • The calendarEvery date that matters, tracked for you. Advance tax, LTCG harvesting windows, policy renewals, rebalance points, and putting new money to work.
  • The reviewsReviews scheduled through the year, plus the call you did not plan for when something in your life changes.
  • The answerOne person to ask, who already knows your situation. You get a reply within one business day.

Ask to see the dashboard.

Before you commit to anything, ask me to walk you through the live client dashboard. It shows you what this looks like day to day, and it is a fair test of whether the work behind it is real.

How I’m paid

Ask me how I get paid.

Ask it of everyone who offers you a financial product. It is the single question that tells you whether the advice was built around you or around a sale. Here is my answer, before you have to ask for it.

Fee-only

You pay me. Nobody else does. No commissions, no trail, no brokerage, no referral fees from any fund house, insurer or platform. Nobody is paying me to reach a particular conclusion.

Flat, not a percentage

The fee is a fixed amount, agreed before we start. It does not move with the size of your portfolio, so growing your money never quietly grows my bill.

Nothing to sell

I do not build or distribute products. There is no house view you have to buy into and no sales target behind me. It means I can tell you to do nothing, which is often the right answer.

That is the whole model. If you ask an adviser this and the answer runs longer than that, or turns up with a brochure attached, you already have your answer.

Who you would be working with

You will be dealing with me.

No relationship manager. No handoff to a junior. No call centre. I have spent twelve years in the markets, most of it trading my own money before I ever advised anyone on theirs. That teaches you things a certificate does not, and it costs more to learn.

I started Quantis because I kept seeing the same thing. A family would have a CA, a broker, an insurance agent and a banker. Four capable people, each good at their own piece, and nobody looking at the whole board. That is where money leaks. It is not a product problem. It is a job nobody had thought to hire for.
